Interesting video from National Geographic showing us other way humans are a threat to bats. Flying fox bats are captured for their meat and they are used to prepare food that is demanded in parts of Papua New Guinea. For the natives, catching bats is not easy, since the conditions of their habitat forces them to reach inaccessible places full of dangerous fauna around, however, for them this is a worthwhile activity because the large size of these species provide them with a lucrative food.
